2009 (good books, good times)
CAPER 2009 BOOTH REPORT
GAME: ICE CREAM

Rules of the game, how many tickets it costs: We decided to charge $0.75 (3 tickets) per cone. We scooped the cones smaller than Babcock hall would have...I'm guessing we used 2 oz. instead of the 3 oz. that would normally make a small cone.
Supplies used: The cones were donated by Joy Cones: 800-242-2663 ext. 3403, Rob Forner, Regional Sales Manager. We got 800 and only used 300, so we still have plenty left. The ice cream was donated by a friend from UW. We got 2 three-gallon tubs. We could have used another 3 gallons easily. We also used 1 gallon of vanilla from a previous event, and a bunch of random ice-pops (sold for 1 ticket) were surprisingly popular, and still we had to shut down at 2:00ish because there was nothing left.
Decorations used: Just a table poster.
Scheduling/staffing (how many per shift are needed? Other details?): The booth was staffed 100% by high schoolers. If we get a parent to take over this booth in the future, that would be nice. It only takes 1-2 people (make sure each person has a scooper.)
Suggestions for next year, or helpful tips and pointers: Do get more ice cream. Do have a bunch of ice-pops.
Diagram of (or describe) booth set-up: We dragged the CAPT freezer out of it’s spot and brought it into the gym…. although the lid was open most of the time, we closed it when not in use. Having the ice cream in the freezer was more effective than having it in a large cooler with ice.
